Our new system makes it easy to update your Service For Life! newsletter, and it merges all your contact information and photo right into the current issue. But, we know some folks would prefer to just work in Word, so we've provided the Word backup for your use. It will NOT merge any info into the file, and you'll have to make all edits in Word each time you use it. It will be saved to YOUR computer, and will not be saved online in your member account. To find the Word backup of your issue:
1. Find the template you want the backup for (Click My Documents on the left, then look in the Service For Life Templates folder). Click the dropdown area on the button that says "Use Template" to the right of the screen. This will give you the option to "Download Backup."
2. You'll see the following pop-up.
3. Click "Download" and then check your Download folder. Depending on your browser, it will be in different locations. It may pop up at the bottom of your screen for some browsers, or you will see a downward facing arrow at the top of your browser window in others. If you aren't sure where your downloads are located, search Google for instructions (example "where are the downloads for Google Chrome" or "downloads folder in Microsoft Edge."
4. When you locate your backup file, make sure to move it to a folder for Service For Life! issues so you don't lose it. Re-name the file "Service For Life Month Date" so you know what month it's for, and what date you downloaded it.
